Mumbai Indians (MI) face Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in Match 27 of the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021 season in Delhi as the defending champions look to end MS Dhoni’s side’s five-match unbeaten streak. Led by Rohit Sharma, MI has only managed to win three games, losing three, and is currently in the fourth position in the standings. Meanwhile, Dhoni-led CSK is in pole position, having registered five wins on the trot after dropping their tournament opener against Delhi Capitals.MS Dhoni has been captaining the side with much aplomb and he has received good support from his teammates as the likes of Faf du Plessis, Ruturaj Gaikwad, and Ravindra Jadeja have really stepped up this season after a dismal show in the UAE last year.

MS Dhoni will be eyeing another win for CSK and has been in good form with his captaincy. CSK are currently on top of the table, winning five matches and losing a fixture.

CSK is currently at the top of the table and is in excellent form. After their win vs SRH, CSK skipper MS Dhoni said the “players have taken more responsibility this year” which has led to their remarkable turnaround.
“I think addressing the problem (on what’s been different for CSK this year?),” Dhoni said at the post-match presentation after CSK registered their fifth successive win of the season.
3.All eyes on Faf du Plessis!
Faf du Plessis will be CSK’s main batsman and has been in excellent form this season. The veteran is third in the Orange Cap race and has scored 270 runs in six games.

Both teams have faced each other 32 times in the IPL, with MI coming out on top with 19 wins. CSK has won 13 times.
