Having already lost the five-match ODI series, India women cricket team will take the field today hoping to salvage some pride against a South Africa women team that has excelled across departments. The tourists have an unassailable 3-1 lead and will be hoping to sign off on a positive note in Lucknow.
Indian spinners, save Rajeshwari Gayakwad (5 wickets from 4 matches), were a big let down on the slow tracks and that has played a big part in India’s series loss when the South Africans chased down 249 and 267 in the third and fourth matches

That brings to an end the five-match ODI series between India and South Africa. The action now shifts to the T20I series, which begins at the same venue from Saturday. We will see you for that in a few days time. Till then, its goodbye!
Sune Luus collects the trophy and the entire South Africa unit stand together for the cameras. A well-deserved series win for the Proteas.
South Africa captain, Sune Luus: For us, we wanted to stamp out authority in the series by winning it 4-1. We pride ourselves on our bowling attack, the young ones coming through. We are lucky to have Anneke Bosch with us.
Player of the match, Anneke Bosch: Feels nice. Tried to keep it as simple as possible. Feels unreal to get to my first fifty in India. Rotating strike was the key. I have always liked batting against spin.
India captain, Mithali Raj: We do need some camps before the series, after a year long gap. The batting unit has been consistent. Overall, it has been a good series for us, except the result. All credit to South Africa for the way they have played. They attacked our spinners. We do have some young talent, but it is important how we give them the experience.
